Not all processors are suitable for every patient. The table below outlines the minimum age appropriate to have specific devices. Many parents choose a non-surgical option for their child until they are able to have surgery. There may be other reasons why we recommend a particular type of device for you or your child – for example head shape or hearing levels.

The Adhear does not have a lockable battery draw making it potentially unsafe for very small children. We therefore will not offer Adhear to under 5 year olds.
