Here you can see what the manufacturers currently offer in their starter kits for patients having a BCHD or MEI. The kit contents can change so please check with your ‘end of assessment and device choice’ appointment to see if there have been any changes.

Access to Telecoil
It is important to consider whether you would like access to telecoil when choosing an accessory because particular accessories are needed to access telecoil.
For Cochlear Baha 5 series processors you will need a MiniMic 2+ to access telecoil.
For Oticon Ponto 3 series processors you will need an Oticon Medical Streamer to access telecoil.
For MED-EL VIBRANT SOUNDBRIDGE and BONEBRIDGE you will need a Minitek to access telecoil.
Cochlear Carina does not have access to telecoil.
